Benevolence Ministry is a non-emergent program to help individuals who may have an unexpected financial burden. We do this through our Volunteer Participation Program by offering assistance to those willing to adhere to our program requirements. Eligible families can receive benefits paid toward their heating bill, including natural gas, electricity, wood, propane and oil costs. Benefit amounts are determined by total household income, size and historical energy usage and do not require a disconnection or situation where heating fuel is nearly exhausted in order to be received.

CAP’s weatherization program is designed to assist households with low incomes to permanently reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient. Measures may include attic, wall, floor and duct insulation, testing space and water heater equipment for repair or replacement and other minor repairs to increase the safety and affordability of your home. Both homeowners and renters with low incomes may qualify

CAP food banks offer weekly assistance with perishable items. Depending on availability, households may receive bread, deli items, salads, dairy products, pastries, and fresh produce to help stretch food resources on a regular basis.
CAP food banks also provide food boxes that include approximately enough food items for three meals a day for one week for a given household size. Food boxes are available quarterly, and possibly more often depending on circumstances.
